Michael Jackson's Daughter Paris Admits She Got Tattoos To Cover Self Harm Scars

Paris Jackson was just eleven years old when her father Michael Jackson tragically passed away, and the aspiring singer - now 18 - has opened up about how she has learned to cope with her grief.

In an inspiring and enlightening Instagram post, Paris has revealed that she has been getting tattoo tributes to her father to help her find some positivity and light after battling with depression.

Writing in the caption, the teen explained: “The craftsmanship of tattoos will always be a controversy. Some people like them, some people absolutely hate them. I appreciate art, I always have, especially when that art means something to me.

"I don’t see a dark past anymore. My scars and past of self-hatred have been covered by loving marks, creativity, ingenuity and depth. Sure, I will always carry my past with me, but I see ink as a way of changing for the better, always improving. They represent strength for me.

"I’ll always keep fighting and encouraging others to stay strong. We all go through hell every now and then but it makes us the warriors of love we were meant to be.”

She poignantly ended the post with: “To anyone struggling, it gets better. You’re not alone.”

Paris marked her eighteenth birthday with a tattoo of the words “Queen of My Heart” in her late father’s handwriting, more recently she got another inking to honour the global superstar - a replica of the cover art for his album ‘Dangerous’.

She wrote at the time: “The meaning of life is contained in every single expression of life. It is present in the infinity of forms and phenomena that exist in all of creation.

"Never forget your roots, and always be proud of where you came from.”

We are so glad that Paris has been able to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
