Michelle Obama To Make Nashville TV Cameo

Michelle Obama is to make a cameo appearance in country music drama series Nashville next month.

The First Lady will star in an episode called 'All Or Nothing With Me', which is set at Fort Campbell, a US Army base near Kentucky, Tennessee.

Airing on ABC on May 7, the episode will see Connie Briton's character Rayna James rope in Mrs Obama to host a charity concert.

It is not the first time the First Lady has graced TV screens in America.

She featured on Rachael Ray's cookery show earlier this year and has also appeared in two series of weight-loss reality show The Biggest Loser.

Earlier this year, she joined Sesame Street characters Elmo and Rosita to promote a White House healthy eating campaign.

Nashville, which also stars Hayden Panettiere, Clare Bowen and Chris Carmack, is nearing the end of its second season in the US.
