Microsoft’s Free New iPhone Camera App Is ‘Better Than Apple’s’, Company Claims

Microsoft has released a new camera app for Apple’s iPhone which the company claims is better than Apple’s built-in one.

The ‘secret sauce’ is ‘machine learning’ - with the app itself using artificial intelligence to help you take better pictures.

Every time you take a shot with Pix, it takes 10 images, and auto-selects the best three to gie you options.

The app then uses the data from the other seven images to subtly improve the final images - offering what Microsoft describes as ‘professional’ results.

It also automatically adjusts camera settings to make pictures look better.

The Pix app also detects people in a photo, and adjusts exposure, ISO and focus to make them look their best.

Microsoft is so confident that you can compare ‘before’ and ‘’after’ shots to see exactly what the app has adjusted for you.

‘It puts the skill of a professional photographer in your pocket,’ Microsoft says.
