Middlesbrough disorder: Police issue more photos in ongoing riots probe

Detectives have released images of three people they want to speak to them in connection with violent rioting that shook Middlesbrough over the summer.

The images of three men are taken from footage captured on Sunday, August 4. Teesside Live has reported how protestors stormed the town centre following a week of violence across the country.

Hundreds attended so-called protests in the town, as well as Hartlepool and Darlington. The disorder saw missiles hurled at police, cars torched, windows and buildings smashed and cars damaged.

Cleveland Police launched an investigation into the disorder - codenamed Operation Acorn and led by dedicated detectives in the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET). They are asking members of the public to come forward if they can identify the people pictured.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Anyone who recognises those pictured, or if you are pictured in the images, get please get in touch either by calling 101, quoting reference number 148284 or visiting the website Public Portal that has been set up for the investigation."
