Whiplash star Miles Teller has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in San Diego, California.
The actor is said to have been stopped by police in the early hours of Sunday (June 18) morning, when he allegedly appeared to be intoxicated while out walking on the street.
Teller was reportedly taken to one of the city's detox centres, but after being non-compliant, was later escorted to the local jail. He has since been released.
"He was taken to the detox centre where he was uncooperative and the staff rejected him," a spokesperson for the San Diego Police Department told People.
"He was then arrested and transported to the local jail where he was booked."
The US city of San Diego allows those found intoxicated in public to check into volunteer-run detox centres in lieu of facing arrest.
Late last year, Teller and his girlfriend were caught up in a "bad" traffic accident after the actor's car collided with an Uber driver.
Police stated at the time that neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the accident, and that the collision was not Teller's fault.
Taking to Twitter afterwards, Miles wrote: "[We] are okay. I hope the other passengers are as well. The other driver pulled into oncoming traffic and bad accident was... Unavoidable."
"This woman's irrational and ignorant decision put our lives and her passengers in very real danger," he added.
