Miley Cyrus has revealed that she was once “chased down by some sort of UFO”.

The singer said that the encounter “f***ed me up” and that she now can’t “look at the sky the same”.

She recalled the details of her otherworldly experience to fashion designer Rick Owens for Interview magazine.

Cyrus said: "I was driving through San Bernardino with my friend, and I got chased down by some sort of UFO.”

She continued: “I’m pretty sure about what I saw", however, went on to disclose that “I’d also bought weed wax from a guy in a van in front of a taco shop, so it could have been the weed wax".

Cyrus described the UFO as a “flying snowplough” that was “glowing yellow” with a “big plough in the front of it”.

“I did see it flying, and my friend saw it, too,” she said. “There were a couple of other cars on the road and they also stopped to look, so I think what I saw was real.”

The “Malibu” singer reflected on the experience further, stating: “I didn’t feel threatened at all actually, but I did see a being sitting in front of the flying object.

“It looked at me and we made eye contact, and I think that’s what really shook me, looking into the eyes of something that I couldn’t quite wrap my head around."

The 27-year-old added: “I was shaken up for like five days. It f***ed me up. I couldn’t really look at the sky the same. I thought they might come back.”

Cyrus also recently revealed that she is currently recording an album of Metallica covers.

The news came shortly after the singer sent fans wild with live versions of “Zombie” by The Cranberries and “Boys Don’t Cry” by The Cure.

Cyrus’s forthcoming seventh studio album, She is Miley Cyrus, is scheduled for release in November this year.
