Miley Cyrus denies cheating on Liam Hemsworth in candid Twitter rant

Miley Cyrus has denied cheating on husband Liam Hemsworth, following news of their split earlier this month.

The We Can’t Stop singer took to her official Twitter account on Thursday 22 August to state that she has “nothing to hide” in regards to the couple’s break up.

She began by explaining that while she “can accept that the life [she’s] chosen means [she] must live completely open and transparent,” she cannot stomach “being told [she’s] lying to cover up” something she didn’t do.

“It is no secret that I was into partying in my teens and early 20’s,” the 26-year-old continued, before going on to admit that she’s “advocated for weed, lost a massive Walmart deal at 17 for ripping a bong” and been dropped from children’s animation Hotel Transylvania for “buying Liam a penis cake” for his birthday.

She added that she’s taken nude photographs of herself, “swung on a wrecking ball naked” and “f***ed up” in past relationships.

“But the truth is, once Liam & I reconciled,I meant it, & I was committed,” Cyrus went on. “There are NO secrets to uncover here.

“I’ve learned from every experience in my life. I’m not perfect, I don’t want to be, it’s boring. I’ve grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP.

“I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating.”

Several famous faces came out in support of Cyrus’s passionate rant.

Former Disney star Bella Thorne commented on the Black Mirror actor’s Instagram post, writing: “‘I love this. So much from the heart. Takes a lot to say. I love every version of u. Perfection is imperfect and that’s a fact.”

Pop legend Madonna even chimed in too, saying: “Thank GOD!! You are human! A woman who has lived. No need to apologize!!”

Cyrus and Hemsworth met back in 2009, when they worked together on teen drama The Last Song. They became engaged in May 2012, before splitting in September 2013.

They rekindled their romance in March 2016 and announced that they were engaged, once again, in the October of that year. They married in December 2018.

Just days after Cyrus announced their separation on 10 August, she was spotted ‘kissing’ Brody Jenner’s ex-wife Kaitlynn Carter while holidaying in Italy.
