Million Dollar Beach House season 1 spoilers follow.
Million Dollar Beach House arrived to Netflix this week (August 26) and it's feeding our obsession with ridiculously pricey and luxurious mansion houses.
Unsurprisingly, it's drawn all sorts of comparisons to recent breakout hit Selling Sunset – not only does the show's first series (just six episodes) take you inside some of the most jaw-dropping properties we've ever seen, but there's a drama-fuelled real estate office at the centre of it all.
Million Dollar Beach House introduced us t0 Michael Fulfree, Noel Roberts, Peggy Zabakolas, JB Andreassi and James Giugliano. Viewers watched as the rumblings of a feud between Peggy and Noel gripped season one; it all started when Noel secured representation for a property with a hefty price tag, and Peggy brought along a prospective buyer. She believed that Noel had been rude to her client, whereas Noel argued that he didn't want to be involved in work-related drama.
It's fair to say that on-screen depictions of real estate show it to be a ruthless and competitive business, and by the end of Million Dollar Beach House's initial run we saw Peggy attempting to strike a deal with a client that others were also hoping to work with. In fairness, as she pointed out, we imagine that most in the industry would have done the same. Ending quite abruptly, we saw her leave the office – and then it cut to black.
Things have been left very open to a continuation, with lots of questions left unanswered. But will there be a season two?
Million Dollar Beach House season 2: When will we get more episodes?
As things stand right now, we don't have confirmation that the Netflix reality show will be returning for a second run. But, as we previously acknowledged, season one ended with a bit of a cliffhanger and so we wouldn't be surprised if there's even more drama yet to come.
It's worth noting that Selling Sunset's season two and three aired quite closely together, so while the two shows aren't connected there's always a possibility that an announcement is imminent. As soon as we hear anything official, we'll update you.
Million Dollar Beach House cast: What happened to the brokers?
Unsurprisingly, Michael and JB are still best friends – just recently, they posed together for photos during a day out on the water. Michael's son Luca, who was born while season one was being filmed, has grown quite a bit since – he celebrated his first birthday in July. Michael's wife, Samantha Fulfree, features regularly on his Instagram page too (although she wasn't really included in the show).
It appears that Noel is still working with Nest Seekers, having recently spent a day at the polo with the company's CEO. He's also been sharing video tours for his latest properties with his Instagram followers.
Along with her co-stars, Peggy has been promoting Million Dollar Beach House on her Instagram account, as well as sharing details of available real estate. She also recently did an interview with realtor.com about how to list your home during the pandemic.
