A millionaire businessman has paid to install anti-Brexit signs across London.

Charlie Mullins, the founder and chief executive of Pimlico Plumbers, has erected 22 billboards around the capital, each with the message, “B*****ks to Brexit”.

He has used his Twitter account to ask the public to post pictures when they spot one of the signs.

The campaign comes days after one of the signs was placed above Pimlico Plumbers’ company headquarters in Waterloo.

Mr Mullins has brushed aside calls from Lambeth Council to take down the sign from his firm’s building.

In a blog post on Tuesday, he said: “We are in the final weeks of a fight that will determine the future of the United Kingdom, and will influence the the lives of our children and grandchildren, long after most of us are long gone.

“This is why I will not rest until I have done everything I possibly can to stop Brexit, and I would urge everyone, especially businesses, who have the slightest concern about the road we are about to travel down to say ‘B*****ks to Brexit’ and add their voices to the growing rage.

“Yesterday, with the help of another hugely supportive anti-Brexit company – DayLite LED – we took our message to the streets of London, after the huge wave of support we have had from London commuters to our giant sign perched on top of our London HQ, just outside Waterloo Station.”

The 22 electronic billboards are located in areas such as Notting Hill, Chiswick, Clapham Junction, Shoreditch and Peckham.

“I will not rest until I have done everything possible to stop Brexit,” said Mr Mullins.
