Millions Of People Are Just Now Realizing They're The "Type B" Friend After This Woman's Video Explainer Went Viral
A woman named Dionna May recently caught the attention of over 6 million people with a simple skit on "Type B" friends.
In her viral TikTok video, she pretends to be a "Type B" friend in different situations:
In the first situation, she says, "Wait, guys, can we stop at that bar really quick? I think I left my ID there last week. It'll be really quick."
In another scenario, she mimics a conversation with a friend, saying, "Please wear my purple skirt. You will look SO GOOD in it — with that top — you have to wear it. Let me get it."
"I can't call the Uber because my phone literally died. It died before we left the house," she pretends.
"Wait, it's cash only? I have no cash. Why is it cash only? It's literally 2024," is her "Type B" reaction in another.
Pretending to call someone who just dropped her off, she says, "I think I left my shoes in your back seat. Sorry. Can you turn around?"
In other situations, Dionna pretends to pay extra money, ask for a phone charger, and have her friend carry her lip gloss and ID in her purse.
Right away, many people realized that they are, in fact, the Type B friend.
They related to a lot of the scenarios.
And the majority of the Type B people say they just want to avoid stress...
That is until they get around another Type B person, then they sometimes have to transition to Type A!
BuzzFeed spoke to Dionna who said she is actually not a Type B person, she just made the video for fun. "I am Type A, and the majority of my friends are Type B, and they stress me out constantly by being Type B."
And if you're still a bit confused about what Type B is, it generally describes people who are easygoing, laid-back, and have a relaxed attitude. Type A, on the other hand, describes people who are more competitive and driven with a sense of urgency.
Dionna also got a kick out of the people who said they thought they were Type A until they saw her video. "That is the most Type B thing to say," she laughed.
Since her video went viral, Dionna has also made videos explaining Type C and Type D friends as well.
Type C friends are typically perfectionists, and Type D are described as having more negative emotions. You can read this interesting article about all four personality types from Business Insider.
Dionna posts a lot of funny skits and great content on her socials, so be sure to follow her on Instagram and TikTok!
