Millwall striker Steve Morison has criticised the "ridiculous" League One play-off schedule ahead of Thursday's semi-final first-leg against Scunthorpe United.
The Lions booked their place in the play-offs with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Bristol Rovers as recently as Sunday afternoon.
Neil Harris and his side have therefore had little time to prepare for their crucial clash against The Iron, whom they will face twice in the space of just four days.
Now Morison has questioned why the players have been put under such a strenuous workload with the final not due to be played until May 20.
"It is a ridiculously quick turnaround," Morison told the Sun.
"The winners are then left twiddling their thumbs for 13 days until the final. It will be disappointing if it is decided by fatigue."
Millwall may have left it late to seal a top-six finish but Byron Wbster is adamant the Lions should be confident about reaching Wembley after beating Bournemouth, Watford and Leicester in the FA Cup this season.
"Not many teams like coming to The Den. I know our fans will give us the edge and make it difficult for Scunthorpe," Webster insisted.
