A party to launch Milo Yiannopolous’ new book was cancelled after the venue’s owner realised what the event was.

The owner of a Jue Lan Club, a New York dim sum restaurant, said he had no idea of Yiannopolous' involvement when the booking was taken and axed it because he feared it would alienate his regular customers.

The party had been due to take place over Pride weekend, and Stratis Morfogen added that he had been led to believe the event was a Gay Pride event.

He told Page Six: “I had no idea this was booked. It was told to us it was a Gay Pride event.

“We don't get involved or take sides with politics, religion, etc."

Yiannopolus, who was launching the release of his self-published book, ‘Dangerous’, blamed the cancellation on “angry, bitter leftists”.

The ex-Breitbart editor said: “Angry, bitter leftists have seized control over the Pride celebration and made it a political statement against President Trump.

“I am throwing a party for the outcasts, the rebels, and the gay conservatives who speak, think, and live free of liberal demands.”

The new book is due to be released in July, four months after it was ditched by a major publisher following comments Yiannopoulos made about child abuse.

Simon & Schuster’s decision followed outrage over a recording that appeared to show him endorsing sex between “younger boys” and older men.
