Shoppers will be able to pick up a range of gifts, mulled wine and food at a mini festive German market in December. The market in Guildford town centre will offer visitors a taste of the famed German Christmas markets.

It will feature an array of Germanic Christmas such as; German bakery treats, wooden toys, gifts, stocking fillers, traditional mulled wine and beer and you can also capture the perfect Christmas selfie at a special Selfie Scene. The market on Sunday, December 1 will be held in the Guildhall in the High Street.

The German theme was appropriately chosen by its organisers, Guildford Twinning Association, as Guildford's official twin town is the German city of Freiburg. Guildford and Freiburg im Breisgau signed a "promise of lasting friendship" in 1979, this friendship continues to this day. Freiburg is a city in the Germany’s Black Forest region, close the the French and Swiss borders.
