Minnesotans Welcome Home Olympic Gymnast Suni Lee
Fans and supporters gathered at an airport in St Paul, Minnesota, to welcome home Olympic gymnast Sunisa “Suni” Lee on Sunday, August 11.
Footage shared by Lieutenant Gov Peggy Flanagan shows a group, including Sen Amy Klobuchar and St Paul Mayor Melvin Carter, applauding Lee upon her arrival on Sunday at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
About 70 people greeted the gymnast at the airport, according to local reports.
Lee, who was born and raised in St Paul, won gold with her team in the artistic gymnastics competition at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris., along with bronze medals in individual uneven bars and all-around events. Credit: @LtGovFlanagan via Storyful
