Miracle escape for pair after car plunges off cliff near Bristol

Two people had a narrow escape when their vehicle plummeted off a cliff in Clevedon. The emergency services were called to Ladye Bay just after half past three yesterday afternoon (Monday, June 10).

Firefighters from Clevedon, Portishead, Southmead and Temple rushed to the scene. They worked with paramedics and coastguard teams to rescue the casualties before they were transported to hospital.

Clevedon Firefighters stated: ''Just after 3:30pm crews from Clevedon, Portishead Firefighters, Southmead and Temple stations were responded to reports of a car which had accidentally driven over the edge of Ladye Bay.
