Miranda Hart admits her worried husband Richard Fairs would regularly find her “having a weep” at the kitchen table.

The 52-year-old television star says she finds herself tearing up “pretty much every day”. And while husband Richard was initially concerned for Miranda, he has become accustomed to her crying.

This is because Miranda says she is a “highly sensitive person,” someone who experiences life more intensely than others. According to Psychology Today, around 10 and 15 percent of people are thought to be “highly sensitive”.

Normally he would rush like ‘oh my god, are you alright?’ but I’m just letting something go, I’m absolutely fine, it’ll be over in five minutes.
