The delighted newlyweds took to Instagram to share their news, alongside a loved-up montage that included their marriage proposal and wedding ceremony, which took place on October 28.
Valentín added the caption: “After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors to them on a special day. 28/10/22.”
While Varela commented: “Thanks for all the love! We are very happy and blessed. I wish that the love you are giving us is multiplied! Endless thanks.”
The two pageant winners met while competing at Miss Grand International (MGI) in the US in 2020.
Sparks flew and they then started dating in secret, but they have regularly posted photos together online.
Among those flocking to wish the happy couple congratulations was Ghanaian model Abena Appiah, who won MGI in 2020.
“Omg congratulations MGI brought together a beautiful union,” she commented under their announcement post.
MGI 2020 runner-up Samantha Bernardo added: “Omg! Congratulations sisters! Lovelovelove!”
While a third well-wisher summed it up perfectly, writing: “Even Shakespeare couldn’t write something so beautiful.”
Argentina made same-sex marriage legal in 2010 with Puerto Rico following suit in 2015.
