Miss Piggy angling for Royal Wedding 2018 invite after revealing crush on Prince Harry

Meghan Markle might need to watch her back – Miss Piggy is angling for an invite to the Royal wedding, and she has a crush on Prince Harry.

The famous Muppet claims she missed her chance with the prince as she was dating Kermit the Frog.

She is now hoping to be among the guests this May when the couple tie the knot at Windsor Castle in a bid to bag herself some “handsome royalty”.

She said: “I am going to try to get invited and who knows?

“Maybe I will meet some handsome royalty there and we can have another royal wedding next summer.”

On losing Prince Harry to Markle, she said: “Unfortunately at that time I was still with this bozo.”

Miss Piggy and Kermit shocked the world when they called time on their interspecies relationship in 2015, with Kermit swiftly moving on to another pig called Denise, who worked in the marketing department at ABC.

Speaking about Harry and Markle, Kermit said: “I am happy for both Harry and Meghan and they seem like a great couple and I wish them better luck in their relationship than I have had in mine, with this one.”

Miss Piggy and Kermit have successfully forged a post-split friendship, but she had some strong words of advice for anyone considering dating a frog.

She said: “Here’s the deal, OK, here’s my tip to all you people out there, if you’re considering dating an amphibian, that you work with, don’t do it, OK?

“We are fine, we work together fine, I’m saying don’t date them, OK? Things are much better now we are not dating.”

The famous puppets will visit the UK later this year for their first full-length live shows in Europe.

The Muppets Take The O2 will feature an evening performance on July 13 and a matinee and evening performance on July 14.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on February 28.
