A 10-year-old boy who went missing in Leicestershire on Sunday has been found safe and well.

Logan Lakin, from Burbage, near Hinckley, was last seen at his home address between midday and 1pm on Sunday.

The youngster was reported missing around 10.30pm on Sunday after he failed to return home from a park.

A police spokesman, who confirmed Logan was located on Monday morning, thanked members of the public for providing information and sharing media appeals.

When he left his home, he had told his family he was going to a park in the village.

Police carried out inquiries in the area before the boy was located.
