Missing Former All Black Found In Twickenham

Ex-New Zealand rugby union player Terry Lineen has been found by police in Twickenham after disappearing from Heathrow Airport.

The 79-year-old arrived in the UK from Auckland and was due to catch a plane to Edinburgh to visit family, including his son, former Scotland international Sean Lineen.

But he did not board the connecting flight and was last seen on the airport's Southern Perimeter Road on CCTV on Thursday.

He was found by police on Friday morning and taken to hospital.

A member of the public called the police after spotting a man who appeared to have been in a hit-and-run and was bleeding from the arm, his daughter-in-law, Lynne Lineen, said.

Sean Lineen, who is now Scotland's under-20 head coach, has travelled down to Heathrow to help police search for his father.

He has been taken to the hospital to be reunited with his father.

Terry Lineen played for the All Blacks between 1957 and 1960 before his career was cut short at the age of 24 by a shoulder injury.
