Missing teenager Alan Hiwa, 17, disappeared after getting on a train

A teenager has been reported missing after getting on a train in Cumbria.

Alan Hiwa, 17, was last seen at Penrith Railway Station at 2.30pm on Saturday January 11. The teenager is understood to have boarded a train to Carlisle but carried on to Glasgow.

Alan is described as being 5ft 9in and has black hair. He was last seen wearing a black Rodeel jacket with white writing down the left arm, a black shiny bodywarmer and black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Cumbria Police said in a statement: "Have you seen missing Alan Hiwa, 17, from Penrith? Alan was last seen at Penrith Train Station at 2:30pm yesterday (11 January).

"It is believed he got a train to Carlisle but continued north to Glasgow.

"He is described as 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build and with black hair.

"He was last seen wearing a black Rodeel jacket with white writing down the left arm, a black shiny bodywarmer and black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

"Anyone who sees Alan or has information on his whereabouts is encouraged to contact police.
