The Isle of Wight's weekend weather means sunshine and showers on Saturday and Sunday.

So whatever you plan to do this weekend, make sure you're equipped with an umbrella!

The forecast, from the Isle of Wight Met Service's Jamie Russell, suggests there could well be a bit of everything over both days, with Saturday slightly the better of the two.

There will be some early brightness tomorrow (Saturday), but the dark clouds will gradually move in to bring widespread rain into the evening.

Temperatures are likely to range from 10C up to a peak of 12C, with winds freshening to a strong west-south-westerly (19-38mph).

On Sunday, expect a cloudy start, with patchy rain, but it will brighten up with occasional showers, some of which may be heavy.

It will be cooler, ranging from 7C up to 9C, with winds moderate, north-north-easterly (11-22mph).

The County Press team wishes you an enjoyable weekend — whatever the weather!
