Mo Farah was seen racing after thieves in a van who snatched his phone, before managing to get it back. The four-time gold medallist was out for a run with his wife Tania last week in the gated community where they live.

That's when he spotted a large white van, which seemed out of place. Just moments later, the vehicle pulled up and one of the two men inside stole the 41-year-old's phone before driving off.

But the retired Olympian started chasing them at 'full throttle', the Daily Mail reports. He soon caught up with the thieves, who gave him back his phone before fleeing.

Sir Mo is said to be furious about how they were able to get past the 24-hour security detail, which is supposed to restrict access to the couple's estate. An investigation had been launched into what went wrong, a source told the Daily Mail.

The athlete, one of the greatest British runners of all time, retired in September last year. Among his career highlights, he won gold in the 5,000 and 10,000 metres at both the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympics.
