Mo Farah wins BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2017
Athlete Mo Farah has been named BBC Sports Personality of the Year 2017 at tonight's awards ceremony.
Farah won the prize ahead of motorcylist Jonathan Rea, who came in second place, and Paralympian Jonnie Peacock, who was third in the viewer vote.
Following the announcement, the show cut to a video link with Farah, who was not at the ceremony in person.
He won his third consecutive 10,000m gold at the World Championships and silver in the 5,000m.
