Mock Funeral Held in Khost With Flags of NATO Allies Over Coffins

A mock funeral, where coffins were draped with the flags of NATO powers, was held in the city of Khost on August 31, following the withdrawal of the United States military from Afghanistan.

Footage posted by Zhman TV shows coffin-shaped boxes draped in the flags of the United States, France, the United Kingdom, and NATO being paraded through the center of Khost. Taliban flags and men holding weapons can also be seen.

On August 30, the United States military announced the completion of its withdrawal from Afghanistan and the end of evacuations from Kabul.
