A model railway firm has got train buffs hot under the collar - after releasing a range of miniature figures having sex.

The new characters sold by Bufffers Model Railways feature tiny prostitutes, nudists and Peeping Toms.

The set of raunchy collectibles also includes couples caught in compromising positions in miniature houses.

Bizarrrely, the x-rated figurines for sale also include a pair of mating pigs.

Buffers Model Railways owner Maria Husson, 50, said: 'All sorts of people buy them, for private collections or demonstration tracks.

'Normally they'd hide the rude figures in a house with a red light in the window, but if it is just an adult audience they'd put them in view.

'People make out model railways are boring but they're really not.'

Buffers Model Railways has even won an endorsement from a member of the Top Gear team. It featured on popular television show James May's Toy Stories.

May described it as 'my kind of model shop, the community centre for distressed Railway Modellers'.

The collection is made by German firm Noch, and are priced at £3 for one to £16 for a set of six.
