Mock Tunnel in Tel Aviv Pays Tribute to Hamas Hostages

Israelis visited a mock Hamas tunnel outside the Tel Aviv Museum of Art on October 7, the one-year anniversary of the Hamas-led attacks, to pay tribute to people who died after being taken hostage in Gaza and those who are still in captivity.

The installation is located in an area now dubbed Hostages Square and includes photos of hostages and the recorded sound of gunfire.

According to The Times of Israel (ToI), the tunnel was created by the families of the kidnapped in January, 2024, to mark 100 days of captivity for the hostages. Credit: @nirinsta via Storyful
