Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted Mohamed Salah’s chances of making the World Cup are in doubt after his heartbreaking injury in the Champions League final.

Following a tussle with Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, Salah fell awkwardly on his shoulder, which is suspected to be dislocated.

Salah has not only been Liverpool’s talisman but Egypt’s, scoring the late qualifying penalty which booked their place at the World Cup, and could now well miss out.

Klopp revealed the forward is having an X-ray and, when asked if the Egypt international's place in the tournament is in doubt, said: "Yeah it is. Unbelievable.

“It’s a serious injury, a really serious injury.

“He is in the hospital for an X-ray. It’s either the collarbone or the shoulder itself. It doesn’t look good, that’s it.”

The World Cup begins in Russia on June 14, with Egypt’s first game coming against Uruguay on June 15.
