There was a party atmosphere at London Fashion Week this afternoon when Molly Goddard paid tribute to the girl who always gets dressed up for dinner.

In homage to the sort of grown up parties you remember going to as a child - dressed up in the outfit your mother picked out for you - models wearing their 'sunday best' milled around dining tables and sipped red wine as the front row watched from velvet chaise longues.

Goddard, whose designs seek to delight the girlie girl who is never knowingly underdressed, continued in her quest to make the world of fashion a sweeter place with candy-coloured gowns crafted from mille-feuille tiers of tulle.

Marshmallow pink frou-frou dresses embroidered with cross-stitch details, teamed with glittering knee high socks and satin ballet pumps, were among her sugariest signatures for next season.

Tutu mini skirts, sequin-strewn cardigans and frothy sheer dresses layered over rose print t-shirts were also a highlight from the label devoted to making understated eveningwear a thing of the past.

Keen to secure her reputation as the go-to designer for the most dedicated party girls on London's social circuit, this was a collection with much to a offer those who like their fashion to come with a side of fantasy.

But while this was a show full of pink, ruffles and sparkle, it wasn't just for girls in the twenty-something bracket.

Satin house coats, humbug striped jumpers and ruched wide leg trousers also gave Goddard's Peter Pan customers - of any age - the chance to feel like a princess.
