Moment bear is caught taking dip in Los Angeles swimming pool
This is the moment a bear was caught taking a dip in a Los Angeles pool in a bid to cool off in the hot weather.
Los Angeles Police shared a photo of the animal swimming in the pool in the Grenada Hills neighbourhood of the city on Tuesday.
Helicopters overhead are said to have caused the animal to stray into the area.
Video footage captured the bear making a run for it after its quick swim.
It ran through the neighbourhood for a while until animal control officials hit it with a tranquiliser dart.
The bear has since been released back into the wild.
Los Angeles Police warned of the dangers of bears in a tweet: "We can't fault this furry guy for wanting to take a dip in this Los Angeles heat, however we are happy to report he was safely returned back to his home.
"As cute as he looks, remember, he's a bear so keep away and call the authorities."
He is even smiling for his fans 🐻
