Moment Birmingham Airport plane fights Storm Eowyn winds during landing
A wobbly airline plane struggled to land in high winds at Birmingham Airport this morning. Dramatic footage showed it battling crosswinds during Storm Eowyn as it drops to the runway.
More than 50mph winds ripped through the West Midlands today, Friday, January 24. The Met Office also issued a yellow weather warning until tonight.
Flights from Birmingham to Scotland and Ireland were cancelled after a rare red weather warning was put in in place. Services to Dublin, Aberdeen, Belfast and Glasgow were axed, along with inbound flights from the same cities. Passengers were told to contact their airline.
