The moment Edinburgh buses get stranded in city centre after snow storm
Roads and traffic were severely disrupted on Saturday morning (November 23) after Storm Bert hit Edinburgh
At around 9am heavy snow began to fall through the capital, forcing cars to come to a halt, with some reportedly losing control in the icy conditions.
One local captured the moment two coaches were stranded in the city centre before Lothian Buses announced they were cancelling all services until the conditions improved.

In a video shared on TikTok, shows two buses stuck on Frederick Street as they struggled to get up the hill with the caption jokingly added: "You can't park there."
Comments came in flooding questioning where the gritters were.
One said: "We've known this was coming. Why aren't the roads gritted?"
Another commented: "Where are the famous gritters?"
This comes after Police Scotland Edinburgh said they were dealing with several minor road accidents on Saturday morning and major motorways were restricted after vehicles lost traction.
Drivers were warned to only travel if essential and Edinburgh attractions including the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Zoo closed their doors due to the adverse weather.
Transport and Environment Convener, Councillor Stephen Jenkinson said: “Our teams have been gritting roads throughout the past week and did so again prior to heavy snowfall in the city this morning.
“Ploughs have been clearing the snow and we’ll continue to work alongside Lothian Buses and Police Scotland to ensure our roads are made safe and bus services can resume as soon as possible.
“I’d like to thank all colleagues who have been working hard in these difficult conditions.”
The Met Office lifted the yellow weather warning as the storm passed and snow eased. Edinburgh is expected to experience high winds while part of the country have been issued another warning for gales.
