The moment a motorhome fell into a riverbed in California was caught on camera.

Torrential rains pelted the state leading to swollen rivers and pooling water, causing chaos at an RV park in Valencia.

This news report shows the scene at the site where the homes fell down recesses and into the fast-flowing Santa Clara River.

Part of a road was swept away by the pressure and residents were left without power in the aftermath.

"California is going to be hurting for a while," one resident said.
