Residents of a South Carolina town are urged to stay vigilant this weekend as dozens of escaped monkeys from a medical research center remain at large.

The 43 rhys' Macco broke loose from their enclosure at the Alpha Genesis Primate Research Center in Yey reportedly been seen hanging out in the woods nearby.

News authorities say the escapees haven't been used for testing and aren't known to carry disease, but citizens should still make sure to keep their doors and windows locked and avoid the area do not approach them, you know, try to feed them and I'll try to take one that's a pet.
Now, this isn't Alpha Genesis's first rodeo with monkeys on the loose, but that may just be the price of doing monkey business.
According to a statement from Ceo Greg Westergard, at the time of the last incident, they're monkeys.
Occasionally they're going to get out and for now all parties involved, seem to be confident that the situation will resolve peacefully.
