Month of overnight road closures for Gwynedd A-road - with big diversion place

There will be overnight closures of an A-road in Gwynedd for the next month. Work is being carried out on part of the A487 between Dolgellau and Machynlleth.

This will see a stretch close between 9pm and 7am on weeknights between now and October 5. There will a long diversion in place for drivers.

The work will see the road resurfaced.

Traffic Wales said: "Overnight road closures to undertake essential resurfacing from October 5 onwards. The road will only be closed on weeknights.

"A487 will be closed overnight in both directions on weeknights (Monday night-Saturday morning) from the junction with B4405 to Tŷ'n Y Berth Mountain Centre.

"The road must be closed in both directions to do the work safely as the carriageway is too narrow to do one direction at a time."
