More than £14k worth of illegal products seized from East Lancs shops
Illegal products worth more than £14,000 have been seized from two shops in East Lancashire.
Rossendale Police were out with Trading Standards to visit businesses across Haslingden, Rawtenstall and Waterfoot last week. During searches, officers found illegal products in two of the locations.
The shops were found to have a large amount of illegal tobacco, cigarettes and vapes with a retail value worth more than £14,000. The products were seized by police and Trading Standards will be taking appropriate enforcement action against the shops.

A spokesperson for Rossendale Police stated: "These products are illegal and can pose a serious risk to the health of those consuming them. We are glad that we have been able to remove a quantity of them off the streets of Rossendale and we will continue to work with our partners to tackle this issue.
"We would encourage our communities to report any shops who are breaking the law so we can continue to disrupt the sale of illegal tobacco."
If you have any information about the sale of illegal tobacco or vaping products, you can report it on the police's website.
