Morning of A30 traffic chaos in Cornwall as key road hit with snow and ice
There has been traffic chaos on the A30 in Cornwall this morning (Wednesday, November 20). The key route has been hit by ice as temperatures continue to remain close to freezing across the county.
A stretch of the A30 was closed throughout rush hour after a four-vehicle crash. Police have confirmed that one person was taken to hospital following the collision near the Jamaica Inn - located between Bodmin and Launceston.

A30 at Temple
Police said a vehicle collided with the central barrier on the westbound carriageway at around 7.40am. Fortunately, nobody was injured and traffic has since returned to normal.
A30 at Connor Downs
Police said a vehicle crashed with the roadside barrier at around 7.45am. Fortunately, nobody was injured and traffic has since returned to normal.
A30 at Launceston
Police said a vehicle broke down on the eastbound carriageway of the A30 at around 8am. Traffic has since returned to normal.
A30 at Trewint
Police said a bus broke down on the A30 at Trewint at around 9am. The road has since cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
A30 at Temple
Police said there was a single-vehicle crash on the A30 at Temple. It took place on the westbound carriageway at around 9.40am.
A30 westbound at Redruth
Police said a vehicle broke down on the hard shoulder of the A30 at Redruth. It took place heading westbound at around 10.25am and all traffic has since returned to normal.
A30 at Five Lanes
Police said a vehicle crashed in icy conditions at Five Lanes. It took place at around 10.40am but the road has since reopened.
