This Morning's Mickey chat goes wrong after tech glitch
This Morning's interview with Mickey Mouse to celebrate his 90th birthday became slightly awkward after the Disney icon failed to speak due to a technical glitch.
Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes were interviewing someone dressed as the giant mouse, which had a big animatronic talking head, however when the pair began speaking to him, his mouth moved, but no sound came out.
However after a few seconds and some awkward glances between Phil and Rochelle, the audio finally kicked in and Mickey was able to speak.
Viewers were left cringing at the awkward moment and took to social media to share the hilarity, as they warned the presenters not to go off script, as Mickey only had pre-recorded phrases.
Well they cocked that right up. Whoever's working Mickey's voice needs more coffee, clearly. They're about half an hour late. #ThisMorning

#ThisMorning This is so crap with the time delay shit. Couldn't they have prerecorded this and cut out the dead time?

Elsewhere on today's show, Phil shared a stark warning he had gleaned from working with female presenters such as Holly Willoughby and Fern Britton.
He explained that the treatment of his co-hosts had revealed the cruelty they suffer, and normally it comes from the opinions of other women.
This Morning continues weekdays from 10.30am.
