Farage told to 'go further' after backing away from Tory-held seats
Nigel Farage faces calls not to field Brexit Party candidates in Labour marginal seats after abandoning plans to contest those held by Tories.
The Brexit Party leader yesterday staged a climbdown from his vow to fight 600 seats.
He is promising to give 317 sitting Conservative MPs a free ride at the election on December 12.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the move was recognition that only the Conservatives could "get Brexit done".
Grace Millane alleged killer is a 'sociopath,' former Tinder date says
The man accused of murdering British backpacker Grace Millane has been described as a “sociopath” by a former Tinder date.
She had told Auckland High Court that the alleged killer pretended to be the cousin of an All Black rugby player.
The university student also said the defendant, 27, claimed he was dying as part of a string of self-serving lies, the court heard.
The alleged killer denies murdering her, saying her death was accidental during rough sex.
The trial continues.
PM to chair Cobra meeting over UK floods
The Prime Minister will today chair an emergency committee meeting to discuss the response to recent flooding.
The Environment Agency had 39 flood warnings in place, including five alerts for the River Don in South Yorkshire.
About 400 homes have been flooded and some 1,200 properties evacuated.
Mr Corbyn had said he disagreed with the PM’s assessment at the weekend that the flooding was “not looking like something we need to escalate to the level of a national emergency”.
Sterling out of England v Montenegro clash
Raheem Sterling will not be considered for England's Euro 2020 qualifier against Montenegro after a “disturbance” in a private team area at St George’s Park.
Gareth Southgate's squad convened for training yesterday after emotions ran high in the wake of Manchester City's loss to Liverpool on Sunday.
Liverpool emerged as 3-1 victors against City at Anfield, where Sterling was involved in a clash with Joe Gomez towards the end of the match.
It is understood the pair were again involved in an exchange after meeting up for England duty.

Ian Wright has revealed it was Harry Redknapp who convinced him to finally accept the offer to appear on this year’s I'm A Celebrity.
The England footballer-turned-pundit, 56, claimed he had repeatedly rejected ITV's advances because there was too much "jeopardy" involved in taking part.
However, he said he was spurred on by Redknapp's success in last year's series, and by the "camaraderie" between the contestants.
Redknapp is reigning King of the Jungle.
