The beloved Gogglebox contributor told of an "instant attraction" when she first met Leon aged just 18, before going on to explain how she feels nine months following his death.

"Fortunately I have been kept busy as I was approached to write the book, and that's been wonderful because it's given me a purpose," June said.

"To think back about things… at first it was just sadness as you just remember the last few days, whereas going back to when we met and all the fun we had, our jobs, having a family… 63 years! Quite honestly I can't remember life without him."

The book is sure to be a fantastic and emotional read for any Gogglebox enthusiast, and several This Morning viewers were overcome with nostalgia and heartbreak whilst witnessing June's appearance on the show today.

June confirmed that she'd be writing a book about her life with Leon in April this year, saying: "I'm very flattered and pleased to have been asked to write this book. Leon often said he'd like to write our story so now I can do it for him."

Leon and June: Our Story: Life, Love & Laughter was published yesterday (September 20) and is available to purchase now.

Gogglebox continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 4, while This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
