This Morning's Alison Hammond sparked a debate among viewers on Friday when she disclosed that she uses a tracking app for her teenage son.

In the latest episode, Alison, 49, and co-host Dermot O'Leary discussed 'should you tag your tot?' with various experts, as people have begun using AirTags to monitor their children.

During the conversation, Alison confessed that she tracks her 19-year-old son Aiden, using the Find My Friends app, which her son also uses to keep an eye on his famous mum.

Alison said on the show that she finds it particularly helpful when her son is holidaying in Ibiza, as she can confirm his location and whether he has returned safely to his hotel. She said: "I've just realised, I'm still tracking my 19-year-old, you know you've got Find A Friend on your phone, I've got it on him and he's got it on me.

"I just like seeing it, I know he's in Ibiza at the moment and I like to see when he's back at the hotel. I just want to know that he's okay. He loves it, instead of him having to phone me, he does like phoning me as well, he likes to know I've got to the hotel okay. Sometimes he'll phone up and go: 'What are you doing there? ' and I go: 'None of your business! ", reports the Mirror.

Viewers were left with mixed feelings on the subject as one viewer commented: "Alison and Ben keeping tabs on their almost adult teenagers! #thismorning" accompanied by an awkward emoji.

Another user disagreed, posting: "You're going to make them paranoid #ThisMorning" while a third chimed in: "Depends on the child's age and the reasons why. Ben Shephard saying he tracks his son at uni the other day is ridiculous. But tracking for safety on young children whilst out and about is great #ThisMorning."

The discussion follows This Morning star Alison's open admission that she felt like she was 'really dying' when she weighed 28 stone. The beloved TV host managed to shed an impressive 11 stone after deciding to overhaul her lifestyle. Her transformation was no walk in the park - it involved an intense exercise regime and dietary changes.

Alison recently took to Instagram to give fans a peek into her demanding workout routine, which includes weightlifting and boxing. Her personal trainer initially posted the compilation video, which Alison then shared on her Instagram Stories.

The footage captures her engaging in various exercises such as lifting weights, boxing, and using kettlebells and medicine balls, with the original caption stating: "The Queen in today, short on time so quick 45-minute circuit and done! ".

She posted a black heart emoji, prompting swift accolades from her admirers for her significant progress. "Alison looks freaking amazing @alisonhammond55 get it girl [fire emojis] I need to join you," praised one fan, while another expressed renewed inspiration: "This has just given me the motivation I needed. Thank you @alisonhammond55 and @luimancini."
