New This Morning hosts joke about Northern Irish accent with Portadown air fryer expert

This Morning hosts have joked about the Northern Irish accent with a local food blogger.

New presenters of the ITV show Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard made their debut on Monday, replacing long-term hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

NI food blogger Nathan Anthony, whose Instagram page 'Bored of Lunch' has 2.2 million followers, appeared on the show on Monday to show how to make two air fryer dishes, both under £5.

Cat, who is married to comedian and presenter Patrick Kielty, who is from Dundrum, introduced Nathan Anthony as 'King of the Air Fryer'.

The Portadown man then said: "My job today is to convince you both to get an air fryer because you don't have one...

"You are going to get an air fryer, I can see it."

Ben replied: "Hold on, now the thing is, I'm not allowed an air fryer for various reasons at home, but I think my wife doesn't think it sounds very romantic, can you say air fryer?..."

Nathan said: "Well how me and Paddy say it is, 'Errr fryer'...", as the presenters laughed, and Cat said: "Now now now, let's put it the 'err fryer'."

Ben added: "Give me the Northern Irish..." as Nathan added: "'Errr fryer'", and Cat said: "'Errr, Errr'."

Ben continued: "That sounds more exotic and more romantic than an air fryer."

Nathan joked: "Well that's how I'm going viral online, how I say air fryer, that's it."

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 & ITVX.
