Yahoo News This Morning meets woman trying for a baby with a ghost
This Morning featured an unusual guest today (August 20) as hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford met a woman who is planning to have a baby with a ghost.
Amethyst Realm, who works as a spiritual guidance counsellor, revealed that she and her "very ancient and very wise" spirit lover are planning on making their commitment to each other official by marrying and having a child.
Speaking about when she first met the unnamed spirit, Amethyst said: "When I was out in Australia taking a walk in the bush it approached me.
"It's something you can feel rather than see, like a presence. I fell in love with it. It's the one."
Having brought the spirit back to the UK with her as her lover, she explained that she is now hoping to be able to connect with it enough to have a baby.
When Eamonn asked whether this baby would be spiritual or physical, Amethyst said she is hoping for a physical child.
"I've been looking into phantom pregnancies and I believe you have a phantom inside of you rather than a physical baby," she said. "The reason you don't carry it to full term is because people don't understand it.
"I'm not sure what it will turn out like – whether it be in spirit form or human form I don't know."
Amethyst said that she isn't deterred by people who don't believe that her relationship is real, saying: "For me I know that it's real. I don't mind so much if people disbelieve."
Saying it's "just like a normal relationship", Amethyst added that "things are really good for us".
"We're hoping to get a hand fasting ceremony soon, sort of like a spiritual marriage," she said.
