This Morning viewers couldn’t help but laugh on Tuesday as presenters Phillip Schofield and Rochelle Humes delved deep into a debate about toilet paper.

Dr. Chris was speaking on the morning show about whether toilet paper is bad for your health, and if people are actually using it correctly.

He cited a study that claims toilet paper is not the most hygienic option available for bottom cleansing.

Schofield and Humes were clearly struggling to hold back the laughs, with it seeming like one might slip out at any point.

Admitting that there’s probably no need to worry, Dr. Chris said: “Well, you know it’s worked all right for me, and this is something else we have to be worried about now?”

“[The study] said toilet paper moves, but doesn’t remove [feces]. Most of the time we poo poo them – poo poo them! Sorry about that.”

Humes then looked around the studio and jokingly remarked: “You’re just moving it around guys. Got to be honest.”

Schofield, pretending to be annoyed, then said: “I don’t know about you but I had a shower this morning!”

Viewers naturally found the segment hilarious, with one viewer writing on Twitter: “This bit about toilet roll on #ThisMorning really has me chuckling. Madness!”

While another wrote: “If toilet paper doesn’t remove the s**t then what the f**k is on the loo roll when you flush it?”

Schofield already had viewers laughing earlier in the show when he made a sausage joke to a vegan.

Discussing whether some militant vegans are taking things too far by targeting butchers and farms, Schofield explained that he’d hit back at angry vegans by just eating a sausage.

“I’m one of those people, I’ll listen to any argument… but the more militant you are, the more I’ll back away,” he said. “If you make me that angry and frighten me that much – I will eat a sausage!”
