This Morning viewers slate TV show for giving shoplifter airtime

This Morning viewers have criticised the show for allowing a former shoplifter who stole millions of pounds worth of products to appear on the programme.

Fans of the show felt Kim Farry shouldn’t have been allowed on air, calling her an ‘attention seeker’.

One wrote: “Why is this thief on tv and not in prison?”

Another tweeted: "Are they paying this thief to be talking about stealing as a career #ThisMorning?"

"Why the hell is @thismorning giving airtime again to the millionaire shoplifter? She’s a criminal! Plenty of people are poor but don’t steal. Stop making these people celebs," posted a third.

Farry went on to reveal she’s published a book about her previous life as thief.

"I've written a book and it might be turned into a screenplay," she said. "We're just waiting on publishers at the moment.

"I can't get my head around it. If it was to, I'd like Sheridan Smith or Michelle Keegan to play me.

"If that comes off then I'll have enough money to set up my own business."

The self-described shop-lifting queen also admitted she has struggled to get a job due to her notoriety.

"Having to live on benefits is terrible, it's made me realise how tough it is.

"I've tried to get a job but now I've exposed myself it's even worse," she commented.

This Morning continues weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
