This Morning's Alison Hammond has paid tribute to her late mother in a heartbreaking post on social media after she lost her battle to cancer.
The 45-year-old TV star shared images of her mum on Twitter and wrote the affecting message: "I am dedicating this Valentine's to my beautiful Mother who sadly passed away from liver and lung cancer.
"My family and I laid mummy to rest yesterday in a beautiful ceremony which I know she would have loved . RIP my best friend and Living Angel please come to my dreams."
Alison also posted a photo of herself hugging her mum on Instagram, and added the caption: "Thank you mummy for giving me the strength to move forward in the knowledge that your ok and with God in Heaven now. I will always remember you and try and make you proud . I love you mum."
Alison was inundated with messages of love and support on Twitter after sharing the sad news with her fans and followers this morning.
This Morning colleague Alice Beer wrote: "Sending you love and strength darling Ali. Sweet dreams."
Loose Women's Stacey Solomon added: "I love you so much Ali."
The presenter and mum-of-one keeps tends to keep her family life out of the spotlight, and hasn't previously discussed her mother's illness.
She's spent the past few days in the Dominican Republic filming the new series of Celebs Go Dating with former EastEnders actor Dean Gaffney, reality TV star Amy Childs.
