Cat Deeley broke down in tears live on This Morning on Tuesday, with the host overcome with emotion, as co-star Ben Shephard stepped in to take over.

After his death on Sunday, courageous rugby star Rob Burrow and his monumental efforts to raise funds and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease have remained a big talking point on many channels and the ITV daytime programme was no different, as they aired a clip from Rob's BBC documentary, There’s Only One Rob Burrow, with Rob asking for it to be shared after his death.

In the video, Rob was heard saying: "My final message to you is whatever your personal battle be brave and face it. Every single day is precious, don't waste a moment. In a world full of adversity we must still dare to dream. Rob Burrow, over and out."

As soon as cameras cut back to Cat and Ben in the This Morning studio, former SMTV presenter Cat looked visibly moved, with tears in her eye, prompting Ben to ask if she was alright. Cat replied: "No! I told you I watched it this morning, losing a loved one is one of the hardest thing we'll ever go through which is why Deidre is here to help you manage your grief today."

Deidre Sanders is of course the show's long serving agony aunt, with it then being revealed that she would be joining Cat and Ben for a 'Coping with grief' phone-in.

Viewers at home were quick to react to Cat's response to Rob's message, with one taking to X to post: "We are all Cat Deeley after seeing Rob Burrow’s final message. So moving and it shows how caring and down to Earth she is. Thinking of all those dealing with grief"
