Holly Willoughby has tried to persuade Phillip Schofield to make a drastic change while the lockdown is in place.
The pair are still presenting This Morning, though with new social distancing guidelines and a reduced team.
As they introduced the show, Holly admitted the pair have been discussing what to do with their "out of control hair" as they can't have anyone near enough for a cut or style.
"My hair getting longer by the second, yours is getting wider," she said to Schofe.
He then responded with what his hair does, saying: "What happens with mine is that as it gets longer, it starts to kick out at the side.
"What I usually have to do is plaster it down until I can get there. The morning before, it's fine then suddenly the next morning it's uncontrollable."
Holly said she couldn't wait for that time, adding she was going to be on "Schofield hair watch".
"You could just shave the whole lot off. But that's like your cape, your hair, it's like your superpower," she said.
Despite Alison Hammond trying to persuade him, Schofe added he would "get weak" without his barnet.
Phillip recently had to reveal the truth behind This Morning's windows, when he said that people had been writing in to explain they could still see people walking around outside, despite the governments guidelines.
"We should say that when we were on the South Bank that was our view, now we're in Television Centre, it's not," Phil confirmed. "That was recorded two years ago. And it's on a very, very long, long loop."
Holly added: "We can make it winter, we can make it snow at the drop of a hat. Literally we can do all sorts of stuff. I mean, we can't today... we want the sunshine."
"It was spring for ages, then we thought, 'Oh to hell with it, let's put some leaves on the trees,'" Phil continued. "Which is what we've done now. But it's not a live shot."
