This Morning's Lisa Snowdon says health condition made it 'unsafe to leave house'
Lisa Snowdon has revealed that she felt it was almost "unsafe to leave the house" due to her health struggles, which at times left her unable to "get out of bed".
Speaking on a new episode of The Mid Point podcast with sports broadcaster Gabby Logan this week, the 53 year old TV presenter, known for her appearances on ITV's This Morning, opened up about the "scary symptoms" she faced during menopause.
During the discussion, Lisa shared her personal experiences and the symptoms she endured while going through the menopause, as well as offering advice to others who might be going through similar challenges.

She explained: "My periods started going from a 28-day cycle to a 23, to an 18, to then every three days and then a really heavy bleed where you're almost haemorrhaging blood and you're just...
"You know, it's not safe to leave the house almost. Pain; couldn't get out of bed some days and you know, for anybody who has been affected by perimenopause or menopause or hasn't been yet, please don't be scared," reports the Express.
Lisa added: "I hope to talk about this and yes, there are some scary symptoms, but now knowing what I know, if I'd have recognised them to be perimenopause or menopause or...it would have made much more sense. I could've got some help."
Lisa detailed the extent of her initial symptoms, which ranged from anxiety and depression to panic attacks, heart palpitations, and even a "bout of vertigo", causing her to feel extremely "spun out" and nauseous.
Celebrity MasterChef winner Lisa, 53, opened up about the tough times she experienced, including how a seemingly normal visit to her dad's for Sunday lunch took a turn. She found herself so tired that she was unsure how she could drive back to London.
Lisa described that, despite these struggles, it was the panic and anxiety that presented the "strong physical symptoms". As time went on, this sense of anxiety became a baseline for her life, believing she had possibly "stretched" herself "too thin".
The situation escalated when Lisa began experiencing "really angry rages", becoming "snappy" and losing patience easily, finding herself flying "off the handle for no reason".
Having previously appeared on James Martin's Saturday Morning show to chat about her life and her latest book, 'Just Getting Started: Lessons in Life, Love and Menopause', she reflected on her journey.
Navigating the menopause in her early 40s, Lisa spoke of feeling "very peculiar, very strange, very emotional, quite unwell", feelings which inspired her to pen the book she wished she "had 10 years ago".
