Phillip Schofield was less than pleased with the placing of one prop on the set of This Morning – so much so he took it upon himself to move it.

On today's (April 8) episode, after coming back from a break, Phil immediately got up from his seat and raged at producers after a pot of flowers appeared to block his view of the live feed of the studio.

"How am I supposed to see what's on the telly if... that is actually right in front of the camera," he noted as he went over to pick up the item.

"But they look so pretty, Phil!" Holly teased him, as Phil then added: "Only I can see them!"

"Keep them over your side," his co-presenter suggested as Phil moved them away, the latter then declaring: "Now I can see what's happening on the telly! There we are, that's much better."

Meanwhile, yesterday Phil and Holly were left somewhat baffled by a debate on whether the Tooth Fairy and Easter Bunny counted as essential workers.

It followed comments by New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, with guest Nick Ferrari calling the comparison "rather weird".

Holly and Vanessa Feltz noted that Ardern was likely just injecting a bit of humour that was "needed at this time", as Phil later admitted: "In all my years, this is one of the most bizarre chats on this show I've ever had."

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am.
